Trademarks are basically classified as device, brand, heading, label, ticket, name, trade name & container. Device mainly refers to a representation of picture. Brand probably refers to that category of symbols which are mostly branded on the goods. Heading is that type of mark which is not clear, however in relation to textile goods "line heading" has a very unique significance, but it cannot be registrable as Trademark. Label refers to a composite mark comprising of all the features such as devices, words & descriptive expression usually printed on paper which can be pasted or attached to the goods themselves or containers. Ticket appears to be something which is knitted or tagged on the goods & mostly contains a mark printed or pasted on them. Name usually refers to the name of the Company, firm or individual. Trade name refers to business name under which it is sold. Container initially was not included in this category but now falls within the definition of mark. Thus these are the things which can be used or proposed for the benefit of trademark and have nearly the same procedure for registration.
